Codemasters has just announced the first details about F1 2009 and it’s probably not what you were expecting. The game is going to launch later this year on Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP and the company says that it will not be released on any other platforms. Those hoping for a next generation F1 game will have to wait until next year when F1 2010 is released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

I’m so disappointed. I was hoping that it would be on Xbox 360 and now I have to wait :(

All I want is to get some achievements by playing F1. That will be awesome when it finally happens!

Yeah, me too Shaun. Even for a Wii game the visuals look pretty poor. Let’s hope they can be more accurate with the tracks than GRID. Hopefully they will be adding Gamecube controller support too.
