It seems that someone over at Rockstar is really, really interested in Turtle Wax. They’ve taken their love for the polishing line and applied it to the new packshot for Midnight Club LA with some very, very shiny results. It’s possibly one of the shiniest covers ever, although it will be interesting to see if it gets the embossing and extra shininess that GTA IV’s cover managed to get.

Rockstar Games has revealed that Midnight Club: Los Angeles will receive its first public playtest this weekend when the 2008 DUB Tour lands in the city the game is based on. The “exclusive demo” features the Saleen 302E and players will have the chance to win game merchandise.

After that, the tour moves to other cities, but it will only feature the Rockstar Games booth when it visits Houston, San Jose and San Diego in August and September.

More info is available on the Dub Show Tour website.

Rockstar just unleashed a brand new trailer of Midnight Club: Los Angeles and it’s looking very impressive indeed. Clearly this trailer is based on the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game but a PSP version with the subtitle “Remix” is also on the way.

I was most impressed by the way Rockstar San Diego has managed to get the rims looking so shiny and I haven’t seen as accurate a Pizza Hut rendition as that since I first fell in love with Crazy Taxi in an arcade in Spain.
