SuperCar Challenge is the sequel to 2008's Ferrari Challenge and adds a significant amount of new content. The wide range of Ferrari vehicles is retained but these are placed alongside other high performance cars from manufacturers like McLaren, Aston Martin and Koenigsegg. Eutechnyx has also improved the track list by including a greater number of real world tracks alongside some newly-created fictional ones.
Just like Codemasters, System 3 appears to be celebrating this weekend’s British Grand Prix and has released some new videos of SuperCar Challenge in action. One of the videos is part of a series involving community members demonstrating the game, while the other features the voice of Tiff Needell, who has become synonymous with the series.
System 3 has confirmed that SuperCar Challenge will no longer be releasing in two weeks time. Instead, the game has been pushed back and is now scheduled to launch on Friday, August 21st across Europe. No precise reason has been given for the delay.
With just three weeks to go until SuperCar Challenge hits store shelves in Europe, System 3 has released a new batch of screenshots of the game. This time there’s a chance to get a good look at the relatively new Ferrari California in an unusual sky blue colour along with cars from Koenigsegg and McLaren. There’s some traditional Ferrari action as well with the F50 GT.
Today also marks the revelation of two further tracks from the game. Vallelunga already appeared in Ferrari Challenge but Rivera is a brand new fictional circuit created specifically for Supercar Challenge. The game’s official website has been updated with videos of the two tracks and Rivera looks like a combination of Macau and Monaco.
YouTube user Lemonoustfreshener has added a new video of the onboard camera from Supercar Challenge. The movie shows an Aston Martin DBR9 tackling the Nurburgring GP circuit.
