These new TrackMania DS screens might cause you to squint a little but it’s looking like this game is going to come out and set the console alight with lust for a racing game not seen since Mario Kart a couple of years ago. Word is that it will be in players hands by the end of the year.

Trackmania will be as awesome as it was on PC when it hits DS if this first teaser trailer is to be believed. The in-game video shows the game’s track creation mode, followed by some pretty neat looking gameplay which seems to match that found in the many PC iterations of the series. Framerates appear to be good and it doesn’t look bad for a DS game either. Definitely one to watch.
